Guy's Cliff

SPORT
TRADITIONAL

Here’s a small cliff (shown to left) just north of, and on the opposite side of Shady Valley to, Mourning Time. The names of these two cliffs pay homage to Guy Edwards, who Robin had introduced to climbing and was killed on the Devil’s Thumb in 2003. Guy’s Cliff is also a homophone of Guisecliff in Yorkshire, where Robin learned to climb. There are two short, bolted cracks and a crack system originally climbed by Kris Holm, Guy Edwards, and Kaj Paget.
