The Arches Wall is the sunny, iconic wall on the north side of the Valley, which was named for a series of large, beautiful arches on the right side of the cliff. The Royal Arches route, confusingly, climbs to the left of these. Royal Arches is arguably the greatest rock climb on earth, or is a close second to the Nose of El Cap. Some of the most classic 5.7 – 5.10 routes are here: Serenity Crack (5.10d), Sons of Yesterday (5.10b), Super Slide (5.9), and of course Royal Arches (5.7 A0 or 5.10b) are the mega-classics. Expect crowds!
