If Primo Wall has beaten you to the ground, then head over to the Crystal Tower for Mineral Museum, one of the best 5.9s in the canyon. Otherwise test your ability on Skippin’ Stones (5.11c) and Quartz Sports (5.12b). This wall has great stone and a variety of fun, quality rock climbs on it. It faces southeast and gets plenty of mid-day sun.
Approach: Park 100 yards west of Tunnel 6 on the north (right) side of the road after driving 12.8 miles up canyon. From here, hike east on the creekside trail until reaching the tyrolean about 200 yards downstream. Take the tyrol across the creek and the Crystal Tower will be a short 50-yard hike upstream. You may also cross the creek by walking across when the water is low.
